Inverted Freecell Solitaire

The same as FreeCell except that sequences are built up, not down. Foundations are started with Kings, not Aces.

Odds of winning: Very High

Almost every game is winnable (99%).

Skill Level: All Skill

Winning is determined by skill. Little to no luck is involved.

Game Objective

Move all cards to the four foundations.

Foundation

  • There are four foundations.
  • A King may move to an empty foundation.
  • The foundations build down by the same suit.
  • For example the 7♠ may move onto the 8♠ and the 7♥ may move onto the 8♥. Starting with the 7♥ the following sequence can build on top 6♥ 5♥ 4♥ 3♥.

Cell

  • There are four cells.
  • Any card may fill an empty space.
  • The top card is movable.

Tableau

  • There are eight tableaus.
  • Any card may fill an empty space.
  • The tableaus build up by alternating colors.
  • For example the 4♠ may move onto the 3♦ and the 4♦ may move onto the 3♣. Starting with the 4♦ the following sequence can build on top 5♠ 6♥ 7♣.
  • Any card may move to an empty tableau.
  • Sequences of cards built up by alternating color can move together as a group.

Strategies & Tips

  1. Keep the four free cells, free where possible. They are used to help move the large stacks of cards.
  2. An empty tableau doubles the number of cards you can move between tableaus.
  3. Any single card may be moved to a free cell space.
