Frog Solitaire

Frog is played with two standard decks (104 cards). The tableau starts empty. The objective is to move all cards to the eight foundations by building them up regardless of suit.

How to Play Frog

Build foundations up regardless of suit. Fill empty foundations with Aces. Build tableaus with any rank regardless of suit. Fill empty tableaus with any card from the stock.

Game Objective

The goal of Frog is to move all 104 cards to the foundation piles. You achieve this by building sequences of cards up regardless of suit that start with an Ace and end with a King. You win when the eight foundations each contain a complete sequence of thirteen cards.

Foundation Rules

  • There are eight foundations.
  • The foundations are initially empty.
  • The foundations build up regardless of suit.
  • For example the 9♠ may move onto the 8♠, 8♥, 8♣ and 8♦. Starting with the 9♥ the following sequence may build on top 10♠ J♠ Q♦ K♣.
  • An Ace may move to an empty foundation.

Tableau Rules

  • There are five tableaus.
  • The tableaus are initially empty.
  • The tableaus build regardless of rank regardless of suit.. Only cards from the STOCK may move to the tableaus.
  • The top card is movable.
  • Any card from the stock can fill an empty tableau.

Frog Rules

  • There is one frog.
  • Initially containing thirteen cards face up in the frog.
  • The top card is movable.
  • Once empty the frog remains empty.
